Logroño to Burgos section

Hi everyone, I'm planning to do the section from Logroño to Burgos in early May and I would like to factor in a rest day or a few shorter days. Can anyone advise me on this? Thanks 😊

My vote for a place for a rest day would be Santo Domingo de la Calzada. It’s a wonderful small city with an historic church and plenty of medieval architecture throughout the central part. Lots of eateries to choose from and a great place to put your feet up for some serious people watching on the main promenade. If you are looking for shorter walking days, I ‘d suggest pulling up the Logroño to Burgos links on gronze.com. There, you can see distances between towns, the terrain, and accommodations along this section of The Way.

This is my favorite stretch. Plenty of shorter days available. Logroño to Navarette, Navarette to Ventosa, Ventosa to Azofra, Azofra to Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo to Grañón or Belrado (perfect rest day to enjoy the albergue experience at the parroquial), Grañón to Belrado, Belrado to Villafranca, Villafranca to Atapuerca, Atapuerca to Burgos. Be sure to allow time in Burgos to visit the Museum to see the early man excavation exhibits. ENJOY!

Don't forget to stop in Navarette to see Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion! There is also a little cafe beside the church Bocateria Move that had the only real croissants I had on Camino. Delicious flakey, butter delivery vehicles!
