I've just discovered there's an 8,000km trail from Palermo to Nordkap and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it - sections or in it's entirety.
Any comments on equipment, accommodation, timing, costs, etc would be interesting. Thanks.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Thank you both for the links you posted. I had browsed these already. I was hoping, however, for any personal experiences from people who have walked part or whole of any of these long distance walks. Hoping that there are some who read this forum.

Since the main resource page is originally in German, I'm guessing there might be a German-language forum somewhere on this route. One of our forum members who is native or fluent in German (like @SYates or @gittiharre ) might be able to research it for you.

I'm afraid that Camino and E pilgrims/walkers don't really mingle on-line. Maybe try to find some FB E-walks groups???

I just want to clarify that there are some of us who do linger, on the outskirts, and when there is something I have had experience in and can share something useful, I do add a comment, or send a message. I for one have walked many of the pilgrim roads less travelled, though not the one mentioned in the link, and am as passionate about these routes (as well as the Camino) - both in Spain and further afield. Sometimes these routes end in Santiago, but others end in places like Assisi, Rome or even Manresa in Spain. One of our members has just returned from Jerusalem, having started in Rome. If I am asked I always describe (and consider) myself as a pilgrim, not a walker - though of course I am that too.

I’d love to know the itinerary that person you mention took, from Rome.... I’m thinking of walking to Jerusalem again but a different way this time... :)

Perhaps post your question on the FB page “Walking in Europe” as that forum has many long distance walkers.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
