My wife is excited. Our college age daughter is excited. I'm excited.
Plans are being laid for our Camino to start shortly after our daughter's fall semester ends next year. Honestly they are both so excited that if we were not hiking across England this year, and if we did not already have plane & train tickets in hand, then I think that we'd do it this summer.
I believe we have pretty much all the gear/clothing required, but will probably have to replace a fleece, a shirt, or whatever we may wear out between now and then.
I need to explore far more closely the "travel CPAP" machines.
I expect that we will alternate between small hotels/inns and albergues. My wife wants to plan a couple 'tourist' days along the route. Probably an extra day each in Burgos, Leon, Cebreiro? Those appear to be the larger cities along the route but we are certainly open to suggestions from the group if there is a city that might be a highlight we might pass up without your recommendation.
FWIW, before/after the Camino we will likely spend no extra time in Spain. We spent Easter in Saville a couple years ago, have traveled other areas of Spain pretty extensively (much of it on foot).
