I lost my Samsung Galaxy S8 Active on Friday, June 7 at Apalaxa Restaurant in Finisterre. Think I left it on the first table on their patio. I went back to the restaurant after walking part way to Faro and realizing the phone was gone. They said they hadn't seen it. One of their waiters created a WhatsApp connection to my phone and left a message. No response by the time I left Finisterre the next day. I got back to the States several days later and someone had found the phone on the terrace of Arco da Vella restaurant down the street. I've been in contact with a couple people at Arco da Vella via Messenger and email after leaving them my contact info (home phone and address) but so far I don't think they've sent the phone. I know it probably takes 7-10 days once it's mailed, and even then might not make it back intact. I'm holding out hope.

Good news is I'm about to be reunited with my (old) phone. The manager at Arco da Vella left the phone with a peregrino from Chicago, who in turn mailed it to me when he returned home this week. So by Friday I should have all my photos back! In the meantime I have a new phone, but will likely use the S8 as a prop in my Camino presentation to show that Camino Angels truly exist!

So, did you ever get your phone? :)

Amazingly, yes. The manager at Arco da Vella found a peregrino who was headed back to the States and gave the phone to him. The peregrino mailed the phone to me on Aug. 3 when he returned home. On Aug. 6, 62 days after I lost it, the phone ended up in my mailbox. Yet another Camino miracle by a Camino Angel. (In the meantime, I bought a new phone...so the S8 is now a prop in my Camino presentation.)
