Man hurt - Cycle safely out there

Un zaragozano que realizaba el Camino de Santiago en bicicleta de montaña ha
sido trasladado al Hospital de Navarra por un helicóptero medicalizado al
resultar herido grave como consecuencia de la caída sufrida en un sendero
situado a la altura de Espinal (Navarra), es un vecino de Zaragoza, de 53 años.
El hombre, que presentaba politraumatismos y un traumatismo craneoencefálico, ha
sido trasladado posteriormente al Hospital de Navarra en un helicóptero del
Gobierno foral.

A man from Zaragoza that was traveling the Camino de Santiago on mountain bike
has been transported to the Hospital of Navarra by medivac helicopter after
being severely hurt as a result of a fall suffered on a trail located around
Espinal (Navarra), is a resident of Zaragoza and 53 years old. The man, that
showed numerous traumas and a craneo-encephalic traumatism, was subsequently
transported to the Hospital of Navarra in a helicopter operated by the State
Government of Navarra.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
It is reported the cyclist is a diabetic and was suffering from acute
hyperglycemia at the time of his fall. An advisory has been issued to diabetic
pilgrims to be extremely careful with their Camino preparations and to avoid
taking any chances, particularly if they are cycling.
