I saw Les doigts croches on Saturday night and quite enjoyed it-- it was not until the credits that I saw that the film had been shot in Argentina, which made me feel better as I could not recognize any of the locations. In any case, it is not as much about the specifics of the Camino than it is about how it affects the pilgrim and how the imposition of the tradition has an impact on the pilgrim and, from the bank robbery stash at the end of it all, pilgrimage motives can be very mixed.

I thought that the acting was subtle and effective by kilometrage may vary-- others may have their own opinions. For those who are interested in French-Canadian popular culture of the late 1950s and early 1960s, there are oodles of fun references and kitschy songs.
