I would put this in the same category as the "Camino Race." Not clear to me where this will lead, but it does suggest that the forces are stronger than we might imagine.

Pilgrims arriving in Obradeiro, some having walked thousands of kilometres, were doubtless honoured to be unpaid extras in a television program. So much more of an achievement than all that walking!

Indeed I had to come by bus due to injury but yes some pilgrims looking rather dissapointed because they could not cross the plaza diagonally because of the fences.
So I helped two pilgrims make a detour to the pilgrim's office.
 
The Way, as a pilgrimage, is fast becoming a side-show to commercial interests. Or, in this case, a backdrop.
