Meaning of Rdo.

I found this little souvenir in my local op shop/ charity shop/ thrift store and it sits on my cupboard encouraging me. The lettering says, "Rdo. Santiago de Compostela". Can anyone tell me what Rdo. stands for?

Mine has a faux-wood rectangular base instead of the metal pedestal, but the top part looks almost identical.

It is probably a shortening for "Reverendo", an honorary title added to the names of Christian clergy.

More likely.. short form for 'recuerdo,' the Spanish word for souvenir. For example .... this woukd be used.... Rdo de Arevalo = "Recuerdo de Arevalo" = Souvenir or remembrance of Arevalo.

I was at Monserrat this morning and passed by a shop that I first took to be a music shop. It advertised "Records". I thought that was strange. Then I realized that must have been Catalan for "Recuerdos" and I remembered this thread.

Yes, in this case the stress on the second syllable.
In the case of Santiago , Rdo. can also be "Recordo" (Galician).
