Wonderful news - thanks for sharing. I was hoping to get my first sello at Notre Dame. Does anyone know if this would be possible at this point?

Kobe,

While we all wait for Notre Dame to open you might get your first stamp at
The Archaeological Crypt/Crypte Archéologique du Parvis de Notre-Dame. These are Roman and medieval ruins below ground in front of the cathedral.

When you are on the parvis or place facing the Notre Dame cathedral and below you underground lie the Roman ruins visible to your right across the Seine begins the medieval rue Saint Jacques which pilgrims followed to leave the city; walk it a bit and ponder history.

Take a deep breath, relax and just enjoy it! As an American who has lived 45+ years in France both in Paris and Champagne for me as Thomas Jefferson wrote “a walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of life.”

Bon Chemin
and Buen Camino!

Thanks so much for your wonderful advice, guys! I leave for Paris on the 28th and will spend a few days there before leaving for Bayonne. I can already feel my heart go pitter-patter... I think it was Audrey Hepburn who said "Paris is always a good idea." I will be thinking of TJ and lessons on "the point of life" when seeking out the rue Saint Jacques!
For anyone else heading to Paris I always recommend starting on the hop-on-hop-off bateaux (boats) and taking a few rounds up and down the Seine. After that navigating the city is a breeze!

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
