Merino leg warmers?

Hello!
Saw a new thing today while browsing the merino contents of a nearby sports store. Merino leg warmers! At 95grams a pair they certainly looked like a good trade off weight vs warmth. Has anyone tried? Are they ok for walking or will they stayed rolled around my knees?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I use merino tights. They can be worn under walking shorts, with s skirt in the evening, as leggings and for sleeping in colder weather. Very versatile and lightweight. I would think leg warmers would be less useful, although easier to remove when walking.

Same, I wear merino leggings for winter walking, with the Macabi or trousers. Never tried leg warmers.... How do they stay up?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Exactly my concerns. Being quite large I can definitely see the possibility of them rolling down. I guess I should have tried long ago. Leaving for st Jean on Monday (yay!)

im not really an expert... and did it only on stockings (socks one) you may put some silicon/glue stick, let it dry, but i dont recommend very tight fabric/garments, cause it may cut the skin.

You are right, suddenly remember how uncomfortable crotchless stockings can be. Seems like too high risk of chafing. I think I abandon the leg warmer idea. Back to packing!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I have had icebreaker merino legwarmers and armwarmers in my caminoequipment for years. Since I learnt that I seldom need them both at the same time, I now only bring the legwarmers. Use them as arms with shortarmed wool t-shirt in cold mornings, only have to drag them off when it gets too hot. Same way with shorts easier to get off than leggings.

I bought merino leggings at Aldi for $11. Really light weight. I didn’t feel wet during the Melbourne rains a few weeks ago. And I wear it under a skirt. A long sleeve merino top was the same price. As I already had long sleeve tops, I cut off the sleeves of the Aldi top and use it as arm warmers

Leg warmers, merino wool or synthetic, usually have light silicone grippers that adhere to the skin - it’s one way of depilating hairy legs! - but they are more useful for cyclists than for walkers as the wide leg band on cycling shorts helps to keep the warmers in place.
