Elderly parent care took all my vacation this year so no continuing on the CF in 2015. I had toyed with Ponferrada to SdC in 2016. The Meseta might be an option but only if I can go during the very height of wildflower season. SOOOOO experienced CF walkers, what would you say is the optimal two week time frame for wildflower viewing between Burgos and Leon in the spring? Any other time of year the Meseta is going to look just like where I live and I got enough of the stubble field views last year on the CF) and daily in my zip code. Thanks!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
wildflowers cycle through several types and colors from April through June, depending very much on weather conditions. No one can tell you when "the very height" is. Maybe you get lucky, maybe you don't. Wildflowers are like walking the camino. They don't work on a timer.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi Rebekah, I don't care what wild flowers so if any time between April and June is the window of viewing opportunity, that's fine! I was just thinking of continuing where I left off last year. And Kanga, thanks for the suggestion of the Norte in May. I only have 2 weeks total to travel and it would have to be the first few weeks of May. I'll go plot it out and see if round trip transport from the US west coast plus the Norte can be done in the time i have!!!!
