Michael Lucarelli – Spanish Music Selection No 17

Michael Lucarelli is the musician I want to hear playing the Spanish guitar when I am involved in the type of activity that requires semi-strenuous exertion. Maybe it’s even a prerequisite that I dislike the task at hand, and I’m grumpy at having to do it. Whatever, that’s when it’s time for Michael’s intrusive, luxuriously fulsome, pulsing, persistently rounded music. It seems to accompany my mood particularly well.

Michael does appears to be reasonably well known for his expressive, forthright style, and his varied repertoire that blends Classical, Latin, and Popular. He started learning the electric guitar after hearing the English rock band Led Zepplin. Later, he discovered the classical guitar and went on to receive his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Utah and his Master of Music in Guitar performance from the University of Arizona.

So today we have 3 Utube videos, Asturias and Sueno from his Spanish/Latin repertoire, and another showing how he approaches the ‘Popular’ section of his repertoire. His performance is of the ABBA pop single classic - “I Have A Dream”

Regards
Gerard

I am a big ABBA fan, I was at their concert in Germany (mid-70’s) and still have a World Tour silk jacket. I love their music and love how Michael melds it all together.
Thank you!

Can someone tell me what Spanish word is used in Spain to refer to hiking poles? Bastones? Palos? Also, as women in tv and movies generally are now referred to as "actores" rather than "actrices"...
