Fellow Pilgrims,
We would like to extend an invitation to experienced Pilgrims or those who have yet to experience the Camino, to an exploratory meeting for the purpose of forming a Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino (http://www.americanpilgrims.com)
As we’ve all learned, the spirit of the Camino stays with us well beyond our return, and many pilgrims miss the camaraderie and fellowship they experienced while on the Camino. By forming a Chapter in the Mid-Atlantic area, we seek to create opportunities for past and future pilgrims (and other friends of the Camino) to take part in social gatherings, walks and presentations; to mentor future pilgrims; and possibly even to serve as a venue for hospitalero training.
Therefore we’re pleased to invite you to one of two meetings to discuss establishing the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino. The goals of these initial meetings will be to meet each other, have a little fun, and identify what we would like this Chapter to be going forward (e.g., the type and frequency of events, and possible future meeting places).
We encourage pilgrims and family or friends of the Camino to select one of the following dates that you would like to join us:
Sunday, April 21, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
REI Columbia - Long Reach Village
6100 Dobbin Rd.
Columbia, MD 21045
Or
Sunday, May 12, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Anne Arundel Public Library
1410 West Street
Annapolis, Maryland
Seating is limited, so to guarantee a place please RSVP to chapters@americanpilgrims.com (not to REI) to let us know the names of those planning to attend and which event. The doors will open 15 minutes early for those who would like to come for a chance to meet new/old friends.
We hope you can attend!
¡Buen Camino!
