Dear all,

Some of you might have seen a request on the forum to help find a missing German pilgrim over the last few days. This thread has now been removed on the request of the original poster since he was found deceased. I called the Guardia Civil earlier today and made sure that they identified him (in case the post here the other day could help them). He was already identified and the local consulate had been notified. It seems that his family has also now been notified.

It seems he fell of a cliff close the the sea and his body was rescued by helicopter. There are a few articles about this here:

My condolences goes out to his family and friends.

My prayers for his family and may he find peace on this next stage of his pilgrimage.

Such sad news. Condolences for the family.

His journey through France was wonderful. Het left breathtaking pictures, he must have had an eye for beauty.
Amid landscapes and nature, he also took a picture of the soles of his boots. The profile had all but disappeared. A few days later, the soles were repaired in way, but not with new Vibram replacements.

Don't know if that contributed to his fall, but it is enough to make one weep.

A terrible tragedy. May he rest in peace. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
