Mistake with phone numbers in guide from Lisbon to Porto

I am really embarrassed to report that I've learned from a pilgrim walking now from Lisbon that I got some phone numbers messed up in the Lisbon to Porto guide. I don't have access to my files now, but what I can tell you is that the number I have put in for the Hachmeister albergue is really the number of the Atalaia Casa Rural. I have asked some friends in Portugal to try to check this out so that we can post the correct information.

Many apologies. I will be home from my stint in the pilgrims' office in less than a week and will take care of it then, but I wanted to avoid any more mistakes if possible. Buen camino, Laurie

Here is the correct information for contacting the albergue in Sao Caetano and for the casa rural in Atalaia. They are two different places, and the Brierley guide seems to have them mixed up. This corroboration comes straight from the Camino Angel in Santarem, otherwise known as Mario of Santarem Hostel . Happy to report that the numbers are correct in the online CSJ guide. :)

Casa do Patriarca (rural tourism B&B). 6 rooms, 50€ for a double. Kitchen for guests’ use to cook, or there is a restaurant 50 m away. Very nice gardens and common rooms. Tel. 24 971 0581; website www.casadopatriarca.pt.vu.

Albergue de Alexandre Hachmeister (9 beds); 15 euros with breakfast. Tel: 917 063 823 (this is the same as what you might also see referred to as Albergue de Sao Caetano).

Mario actually called Sao Caetano and though it took a while to get through to Alexandre, it is the correct number. However, Alexandre also gave Mario the phone number of his partner, Ana Rita Sanches, which is the one you should use:

The new telephone number is (+351) 914951076 speak to Ana Rita Sanches.

So for those of you who want to stay in Sao Caetano/Albergue Hachmeister, you now have a new phone number to try.

Good luck to everyone out there on the Caminho Portugues. Bom caminho, Laurie

Ola Laurie. If you ever walk the caminho da Costa and you are in Vila Praia de Âncora between Viana do Castelo and Caminha , they sell great pasteís de nata !

Today we arrived here from Ferrol

We are in Vila Praia de Âncora at a campingsite and stay here for some days .we saw the first yellow arrows here and have a look the coming days for more arrows in different places .
For next year ! :)
Regards from Albert and Nel

Oh, I just learned that the mix-up is in the Brierley guide, not the little CSJ guide. But I will check to make sure I have it right, too! Laurie
Maybe we must promote the caminho da Costa Laurie It is really beautiful here
We explored the track between Viano do Castelo and A Guarda.
