Monasterio Armenteira (CP Variant Espiritual)

Just received a disappointing reply from Sister Paula (Armenteira Monastery on the Portuguese Variant Espiritual route) that they are not accepting pilgrims for overnight stays on Nov 8th or 9th as “these are special days for us”. Not sure the occasion but I thought others traveling around those dates and wishing to “pernoctar” there might adjust their schedules.

UPDATE: there will be a convention those days.

Thank you, I assumed it was something in that vein. I’d like to adjust my walk to at least visit the monastery so I’m hoping sister Paula replies. Of course I understand that they might be in celebratory morning for that week.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I stayed at the albergue last night. It’s only a 10 mins walk from the monastery and the only restaurant/café and it was (apart from the habitual paper sheets) perfect. There was even coffee for breakfast.

The pilgrim’s benediction at 19h was lovely.

Stayed at the monastery two weeks ago and though I found it lovely, Covid has ended (for now) the communal dinner. Basically, now it’s 60€ for a private room with bathroom - a nice room, but nothing specifically interesting or unique about it. Whether you stay at the monastery or not, everyone has basically the same access to the church and services.
