Camino Frances ('05)
Could anyone point me toward the Codex? I have English translations of Book II (Music) and Book IV (Miracles) But I'm curious about the other books and also if they exist together anywhere. I'm also curious about organizational structure, subtitles, layout, and the way things appear on the original pages.

I'm doing research for my dissertation--

Do you know where I can find more?
Thanks for any help you can provide,

Ultreya,
Brad

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Do scan this 2009 Forum thread regarding the historic Codex https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/codex-calixtinus.5678/ as well as this more recent thread https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...s-guide-book-5-of-the-codex-calixtinus.14903/

Wikipedia provides a basic account of the history and importance of the 12th c Codex Calixtinus including the recent 2011 theft and return of the Santiago de Compostella copy of the historic ms. See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codex_Calixtinus.
The Wikipedia article also provides basic bibliographic references for further research. Splendid facsimile copies of the historic ms have also been made.
For example see http://www.omifacsimiles.com/brochures/calix2.html

Happy research!
