Dear all... I'm hoping my nasty bacteria have gone now... as I'm feeling a lot better, albeit a little fatigued. I have another blood test and scan in 4 weeks to be sure my lungs are clear but I am feeling good. We're on holiday next week and we're going to do a little walking and hopefully I'll be in shape for the Via :D

In Janaury I decided to try and lose weight (I gained over 5 stone before my Hashimoto's was diagnosed and during my cancer treatment). I had a target to lose 12kg before I started the VdlP. As the weeks passed I reached that goal... so I decided I would try to lose 18kg... I reached that so I said 20kg ... and when I reached this I said 25kg.

I reached 25kg today (4 stones or 55lb) and I still have 5 weeks to go, so my new target is 27kg.

Since January I've gone through a few pairs of jeans... today my size 14's arrived (although I ordered the wrong length)... I wonder how long before I need a size 12 :D

p.s. size 14 is a size 10 in the US

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Congratulations @LesBrass !! That's a fantastic achievement! And I bet it'll really help you when you set off on the vdlp. Managed to drop 20kg myself in the past few months so I share your excitement about the jeans!

Great news too that you're feeling better -I hope you continue to go from strength to strength now.

Great effort Les. Your knees will love you every step!

So glad to hear that you are so much better and feeling it too. Enjoy the walking.
