I am walking between Santiago and Porto 17-31 March 2018 (Variante Espiritual, & coastal route). I have a box type mosquito net, should I take it? I am already thinking on a bed bug sheet. Thanks, Mark

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Never had an issue , and your traveling early too so there will be less time for them to multiply. I'm home no need for one.

Same goes for the bed bug sheet. I think if you get them you just have to deal with them rather than stressing about it and ruining your experience.

I have done multiple Camino and never had a problem with either. Are their certain people who are tastier than others?? I must taste awful!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Yes, in a room of say 4 to 6 people, I am the only one bitten by mosquitoes. Their favorite parts are my ankles; usually the front.:mad::mad:
Thanks for your reply. I also tend to get bitten (and react badly). Are you saying yes to "are certain people more susceptible", or yes, I should take a mosquito net? Mark

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Insect repellent is lighter and takes up much less space .
If you can cope , laying off eating bananas may reduce bites , the Ethylene in them can attract the nasty biters especially the particularly concerning Aedes aegypti .

Oh, sorry about that Mark. I am saying "yes" certain people are more susceptible.

However, this might be useful. It takes only one (biting) mosquito to ruin my sleep. In my country, we have mosquitoes, rather, mosquitoes have us for breakfast and dinner every day; on some days, lunch too :D. Here, I need a mosquito net (screened tent, screened room) for a good night's sleep. Yes, I bring or buy a mosquito net (box type, very light, cheap, and compact) when I go to uncertain parts. Even just to avoid that one stinger... plus I seem to relax quickly and fall asleep easily inside a mosquito net. It's a comfort zone for me.

On the other hand, I haven't had any problem with them in Spain (3x), or other countries. Perhaps its the "tropics" thingy. :).

I have been bitten in Scotland (Glencoe), Italy (Pisa) and Mallorca (Port de Soller). I understand mosquitos are a summer plague in northern Norway. I like the fact that you have a Santiago, and I a James element to our names. Mark
