Mosquitos on the camino

May be a weird question, but are there mosquitos on the camino frances? Should I bring some spray? Thank you.

I walked in September and into early October. No mosquitos but the flies and gnats were horrible. It is rather frustrating that they jump off the constant cow piles in the road into your eyes and hair. I found myself breathing in gnats on occassion. I am taking a head net this fall. I can take them on my body but not in my eyes or on my face. Ironically I will be taking the mosquito wipes BACK with me this fall--just in case.

yes mosquitos are allowed on the camino
but their backpacks are so small youll hardly notice them
