Moving backpacks to another town

Time of past OR future Camino
2016
Hello again,
We are almost ready to commence our camino, leaving for Madrid on April 24th. Backpacks are packed and we're walking everyday to prepare. I have heard that sometimes people have their luggage/backpacks shipped ahead to the next town or lodging that they will be staying at. Is there a service that does this? How does one know that it is reliable and that the items will indeed arrive?

Thank you. Your help on this forum has been invaluable.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Check out this current blog page dated Friday, January 25, 2013, by Amawalker, another Forum member, regarding Slackpacking and luggage services on the camino. As always with Sil's writing this provides much helpful info. >> http://amawalker.blogspot.fr/
