Some but not all, and other routes too.
Good Morning Pilgrims.

Can anyone shed some light on the Municipal Albergue in SJ.
I will be arriving in SJ at approximately 10:30am on a Saturday. Is there likely to be a bed available at this time, and will I be able to check-in this early?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

The SJPdP Pilgrim Office at 39 rue de La Citadelle is the entry point for the municipal albergue at 55 rue de La Citadelle. Go to 39 to obtain a bunk. Generally those dorms are only available from the afternoon; morning is cleaning time. However you can always ask!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Last summer I stayed at the municipal albergue in SJPdP. I arrived in the morning around 10:00 am or so, and after getting my credentials from the pilgrim's office I was able to secure a spot at the albergue even though it did not open for several hours. They allowed me to leave my pack in the office while I roamed about. I returned when the albergue was open, retreived my pack and checked-in.
Very gracious people working in the pilgrim's office.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
@Mark Lee Thanks for the information it really helps.
I have booked a room in a hotel for that night which I need to confirm, but I thought why not start as I mean to go on and stay in municipal Albergues from the off.

If you're arriving at 10:30 am, you'll have no problem getting a bed at the municipal albergue, still check in as soon as you get to SJPDP to the pilgrims office to get your credential stamped and reserve your bed, it was €8 (2013) and included breakfast.
