I have a pair of socks which I bought in Ponferrada years ago. They are marked L AND R ! I love 'em.

Were the socks made in England or other English-speaking country? If they'd been made in Spain, or for Spain, I would have expected 'I' and 'D'.

haven't the faintest! but I still love 'em' as to size, they fitted my feet! my boot size is 43metric.

I have a pair of socks given me by a German walker, who was heading home to Germany and could do without them, whereas I was in urgent need. They are also marked L and R, obviously for Link and Recht, as they only speak German.
