Nice. :)

Which song is this? I understood "mochilla", "peregrino" and "camino", so now I'm wondering about the rest of the lyrics...

It's a famous spanish poem written by Antonio Machado, singed by Juan Manuel Serrat. It will be quite hard to translate, here you have the poem:

Cantares...

Todo pasa y todo queda,
pero lo nuestro es pasar,
pasar haciendo caminos,
caminos sobre el mar.

Nunca persequí la gloria,
ni dejar en la memoria
de los hombres mi canción;
yo amo los mundos sutiles,
ingrávidos y gentiles,
como pompas de jabón.

Me gusta verlos pintarse
de sol y grana, volar
bajo el cielo azul, temblar
súbitamente y quebrarse...

Nunca perseguí la gloria.

Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino y nada más;

Golpe a golpe, verso a verso...

Murió el poeta lejos del hogar.
Le cubre el polvo de un país vecino.
Al alejarse le vieron llorar.
"Caminante no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar..."

Golpe a golpe, verso a verso...

Cuando el jilguero no puede cantar.
Cuando el poeta es un peregrino,
cuando de nada nos sirve rezar.
"Caminante no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar..."

Golpe a golpe, verso a verso.

THE FAMOUS POEM AND SONG

That poem and song was what introduced me to El Camino. I heard Juan Manuel Serrat sing Cantares at a concert in 1993 in San Salvador, El Salvador. Next I obtained a book of poems by Antonio Machado. A few years later, a woman from Galicia showed me pictures of Santiago and El Camino. Finally, this year, as I did the 800 kilometers, so many times I recalled the phrases of Cantares.
