Ssssso excited!!! Tomorrow night, i'll fly to Paris!!!! I will be in StJPP on Thursday night and will start my journey on the 27th, this Friday!!! I am ready, light gear (bag 15 lbs plus water), trained, foot creamed daily with Nok.... Ready but still nervous. I believe this is just normal!!! Thank you all for the advices I read here. It helped me a lot!!!

Hi Nanouc!
I'm 2 days behind you! I'm both excited and nervous!!! My butterflies feel about as big as bats!!! I think nerves are normal? I'm a slow walker so probably won't catch up but I wish you a Buen Camino! Safe travels and Good Luck !

I think a little nervousness is normal. It will pass once you get those first few days under your belt.

Buen Camino!!

I'm jealous. Hoping to find the time next year, but my youngest is entering senior year in high school and don't want to miss a month of time with her or the Mrs.

Buen Camino, and thanks for sharing your excitement with us. I'll be buying my ticket to Paris soon.

Buen Camino!!

I'd like to offer a friendly amendment to Thengel's post. I agree that a little nervousness is normal (or maybe even more than a little nervousness is normal). But I don't think you will need those first few days under your belt before it will pass. I think that the nervousness will pass as soon as you take your first few steps on the Camino. Once you start walking, it's just a question of putting one foot in front of the other, and there is nothing that is nervousness-inducing about that.

Nanouc, I wish you a wonderful camino. Laurie
