When I posted, I just got off the phone with the pilgrims office in SJPP. The hospitalaro on duty relayed the current day’s report and forecast for the Napoleon route opening. That day the mountain route was open and forecast to be open the next day. Snow was then forecast but wouldn’t be enough to close the route long (more than a few days). She mentioned that this weekend and the 15th of April were forecast for the route to be open. I felt confident enough in her forecast to commit to the Napolean route. Should you desire an update, call the Pilgrim office at +33559370509. The staff is SUPER.

Dear @Monasp,
Could you give some update for today and tomorrow? Obviously I am checking weather apps but it would be great to hear a current update from you. I am considering if I should start my walk from Pamplona today or jump on the bus this afternoon to St Jean Pied de Port.
Many thanks,
Anna
