"The Neda pilgrims' hostel will remain closed from Monday 17th to Thursday 20th October to carry out a series of improvement works on the facilities. If everything goes according to plan, the pilgrims' hostel will reopen its doors next Friday, October 21."

Thanks for posting this as I start from Ferrol in the morning. Now deciding whether to try and get to Pontedeume in a day or find somewhere else and adjust my budget. Any thoughts from anyone would be great!
Edit: figured I’d reserve at Pensión a Cepa in Fene and see if the ‘shortcut’ mentioned by Cicerone on their website exists. If it does, it’ll be a blessing, and get me to shelter before the rains arrive. If not, it's a 20km day so no too bad.

Shortcut after Monasterio do Couto via the train pasarela shaves off some kilometers!
