We are headed to Granon. Got off the plane and with a little help from Lady Luck we were able to catch a 10:45 bus to Logroño. The bad was we were not in the airport long enough to buy a SIM card. Anyone know if there are any stores in Logroño open on Sunday were we can buy a sim card

Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Logroño is quite big, but it is Spain. Nada is open on Sundays! You may have luck in a petrol station (I think you call them "gas centres"?) or a newsagency.

The only El Corte Inglis I could find in Logroño - is not open on a Sunday - see here. There is a Carrefour which may have them, it is open from 10:00 to 15:00 on Sundays, and it may have them. It is at Agenda Rioja, 14.

Maybe there will be someone in Logrono you can ask?

I've just looked at another site - which says the Carrefour is opened until 21:30

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. There is nothing like the horse's mouth. I'd telephone before walking there.

There are two small convenience shops in the Logroño bus terminal . If they are open on your arrival time , you may have luck finding a SIM card . I believe that they have phone cards as I have topped off mine in SDC bus terminal. If not, then wing it until you find a telephono shop. I walked to the terminal last year when a friend departed to Barcelona and she was able to top off her card at one of the small shops in the terminal . No problemo. I hope this helps.

Sorry if I misled anyone with the CI opening (or not) on Sundays but there was such a hoop-la about it this side of Christmas I assumed it was for all CI... (Forgot about local politics )
And in Alicante, they kept the café open and just a bit of the ground floor -with newspapers and souvenirs - open.
Anyway, awaiting to hear if the OP got his Simcard ...
