Need some help about Santarem

I am heading to Lisbon for 2 nights but will only want to walk from Santeram to Fatima, there after from Fatima I would like to walk Central route to SdC. Can I take a bus or train to Santeram? I am terrible and hopeless in planning ahead where I should walk/stay, but I made it in 2019 The French Way this way Walking alone and past 60 years old

Yes, you can take a train. Just be aware that Santarém is a hilltop town but the train station is at the bottom of the hill, a decent walk from the historic centre.
