I saw on the news yesterday that the EU is requiring US citizens to have a visa now.

Is this "fake news?"

If not, how will it affect people who already have purchased tickets?

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Its a meaningless, non-binding, resolution by a body that has no power. It was a stunt designed to cause panic in the US. Sadly, it's worked. News organizations in the US, who do not understand the difference between the EU Parliament and the EU Commission, fell for it. And while the EU Parliament, which has no power, enjoyed its little stunt, it is highly unlikely the EU Commission would commit economic suicide by requiring visas for Americans wishing to visit Europe. So, while it's not technically fake news, the botched reporting had the same effect.

Not fake news, and more like a news piece not worth reading or being concerned about. It really is much ado about nothing and discussing it on this forum serves no purpose and causes unnecessary concern among future pilgrims from the US. It definitely is a case of "chicken little" with the "sky is falling" bit.
The moderators had to close down the previous thread on the topic because it was becoming a bit of a sneaky way for some to make political jabs. Really lame.

I promise you, Mark, I'm not panicked :::laughing::
I simply was saw this on the "news" and asked if it was real or not.
And to me, this was the perfect place to ask and get an answer.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Best answer is to ask your state/foreign affairs dept or ask the embassy of Spain and France. You won't get reliable information here, particularly as the situation is fluid.
