Congratulations on your new enterprise. Your Gite look wonderful !! I am planning to walk the Le Puy route in the Spring of 2010 and I hope to stay with you then. :D

Félicitations sur votre nouvelle entreprise. Votre sembler de Gite merveilleux ! ! Je prévois de marcher l'itinéraire du le Puy au printemps de 2010 et j'espère rester avec vous alors.

I stayed in this gite in May, not too long after it opened, and can highly recommend it. Odile and Andre both make time to talk to pilgrims who stay, and quickly recognise where they might need help. Aire sur l'Adour is a popular 'starting place' for people who have walked part of the route in previous years (as many of the French walk in 1-2 week stretches). It was getting hard to be sure of accommodation at the time, as some big groups were walking, and Odile spent a lot of time on the phone trying to make sure people had the onward bookings they needed. (In France, unlike Spain, it is the norm to reserve gites ahead, and if you don't you might end up paying a lot more for bed and breakfast style accommodation.)
You can only reserve in this gite two days ahead, but it had already become very popular, and was full the night I stayed. Because Odile and Andre have both walked the route, they can offer advice about conditions that will be encountered etc. They also speak good English. I was so appreciative of the very real personal support they offered, and remember my stay there with much affection and gratitude.
