We are now 9 days into our Camino, having started in Roncevalles. I just thought that the following info. might be useful: In Logroño there is a new 40 bed albergue called Puerta de Revellin. It is slightly out of the town centre (go left after passing over the Puente de Piedra). It is situated in a new complex of apartments where the old bull ring used to be. Sorry but I don´t have more details, as we threw the paper away. It is new, sterile, but aparently better than the old one in town.
The other new albergue is where we are staying tonight in Cirueña: La Virgen de Guadalupe. Just 10 beds, but very friendly. This was a very welcome find, after having walked from Ventosa today
and not wanting to walk as far as Santo Domingo de la Calzada. We also found that the lovely Albergue San Saturno in Ventosa had changed location and now has room for about 40 pilgrims. Anne
By the way, there are still lots of Pilgrims on the Camino!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
There´s also a new albergue in Rabe, outside of Burgos.

New albergue in Fromista, Estrella del Camino, excellent mattresses btw. To get there, hook a right at the turismo office & keep walking. It´s adjacent to the Hostal Santiago (also a nice place based on what I was told). The asador across the street is good too...their pilgrim menu is 9 euro, so don´t get put off by the 12.50 euro price they have on their board in the afternoon. AND they start serving at 6.

A new albergue off the Camino before Ventosa in Sotes was advertised on signs last fall. No one has reported on it this year, and it has not appeared in any of the guides.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I am currently in Calzadilla de la Cueza and have seen many albergues that are not in the Brierly book. I am assuming that there are more opening up for the 2010 holy year. Many places have notices tacked up that there are new hostels or flyers are left for people to take.

Enjoying my camino.
