Don't you love when your phone sends a text alerting you your new Arc'teryx jacket has arrived!
I recently sent my old 2001 Arc'teryx jacket back to the manufacturer because the cinch waist strap on the interior had delaminated. A simple fix I thought, and the jacket was well cared for and still had plenty of life left in it. Well, the service team decided to send me brand new jacket under warrenty replacement! This may have had something to do with the fact that the service person who examined my jacket told me the one sleeve delaminated while she was examining it.
The first jacket sent was too large, I mailed it back to them and sent tracking info and they mailed smaller size that same day (Monday). That is customer service, and glad to see they stand behind their warranty.
It served me very well on 2014 Camino, and I know folks say nothing is waterproof, but I stayed dry inside that jacket, even in all day heavy rain. Hope the new jacket, which is lighter and different fabric technology, will keep me as dry.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I'm guessing at that price they can afford to be generous every now and then!

Stay warm and dry!

I know! - I think I hit the jackpot when they told me they were sending a replacement. They talk about "practical lifetime of the product" on their warranty page, but I guess delamination issues they view as quality issues. Yes - very expensive, and I didn't even choose the more expensive model they viewed as equivalent replacement for 15 year old jacket.
