New mattresses at San Anton

I spent the first half of July 2015 as a hospitalero at San Anton. It was an amazing experience meeting new pilgrims every day as apposed to my previous experiences of walking the Camino and joining up with groups of pilgrims who I shared the Camino with day to day.
I remember someone asking Rebekah to make a list of the forum members who had donated to the purchase of the new mattresses at San Anton.
I have attached a photo of the list, it can be found in one of two recesses under the arches on the right side of the road.

Is just can't,believe how intact the list still is after being so exposés to the elements.

paper that's put inside the little arches, which are well protected from the weather by the big over-the-road arch above, can last for a year or more!

I failed to mention the rave reviews the mattresses received, many people saying it was the best sleep they had ever had along the Camino.

Will the albergue be closing for the winter? Any idea of the date?

Yes, it is only open during warm weather months, because it is practically outdoors! We close up shop at the end of September, reopen in May.
