There are some minor (and good) changes in the new Pilgrim Credential.

1. The credential now includes a QR code to scan, which will take you to the Registration webpage. Very handy, as you are now a click/scan away.

2. It's eliminated 'Passport Number' and 'Address' (thank God), I have had several incidents at the office in SJPdP when refusing to put this very personal information in my credential.

3. Wheelchair has been included, although this may not be new, can't remember.

When I was in Santiago in April, the Pilgrim's Office told me that they were prepared to cope with over 3000 Compostela requests per day. So, it appears everyone is organised and ready for another busy year.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Back is blank for engraving.

Where can I get one before I leave the U.S.?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

They are fairly easy to obtain at most of the starting places (Eg. SJPdP, Roncesvalles, Sarria...), at the pilgrim offices, tourist offices, public albergues... and a dozen other places. However, it is nice to get one before you travel. I believe Casa Ivar (this forum) has/had them, and/or others, such as the APOC. Buen Camino.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Thanks for sharing it with us. One of my friends told me that there are a few changes in the new Pilgrim Credential but he doesn't know which one.
