New Private Albergues in Tui and Redondela

Just read in the peregrinos foro that someone has just opened two private albergues, one in Tui, the other in Redondela. Prices range from 10-12 E in rooms of 4-6. Their website only shows the Tui albergue, http://www.albergueelcamino.com/ but their posting said they had opened one in central Redondela as well.

They say they take reservations at these numbers: 646 98 29 06 / 636 83 96 75

Just FYI. Laurie

An update on this. We stayed in the one in Tui. They open at 1 pm which was nice because it was hot and we did not want to wait until 5 pm for the municiple. The rooms are nice with bunks and windows out onto the street. However there are some considerations if you choose to stay here. There is ONE bathroom for everyone staying here with the toilet, two sinks and two shower heads in one room. The sign on the door says to avoid waiting, shower with someone else. Now I don't know about you, but showering with just anyone is not my cup of tea. And in the morning, it was disaster. Anyone using the toilet meant that no one else could brush their teeth, etc. The kitchen is very tiny, as is the eating area but OK and clean. There is one laundry sink (outside the common room) but laundry drying is under an awning and small so minimal drying of washed clothing.

In addition, they advertised that they had a pilgrim breakfast at 3e beginning at 7 am. We asked about this and were assured that this was true. But in the morning, the bar was dark. No breakfast. Not happy campers.

The related albergue in Redondela was closed when we walked by it so perhaps it is a seasonal thing?
