My Portuguese is non existent but I believe the albergue has 25 beds, with small kitchen, rest area, wahser and dryer and internet access. It is located next to the city market in a building that had not been used in a few years, on 5 de Outubro street.

If I got something wrong feel free to correct me.

You got it right :p

I'll just add:
- the 25 beds are spread in three dormitories; one of those is "family friendly", because it has one double bed and can accommodate a total of 7 people (you can see the double bed here: http://portocanal.sapo.pt/noticia/85580/ jump to 1:20)
- there is space for bycicles
