We have had a wonderful day in Santiago. The weather is good, the town is full of life. It is so nice to meet again pilgrims we saw earlier. But the best experience was the Anglican service held in the parador. A small congregation from four nationalities. And such a blessing to receive communion! Thank you so much to reverend Barbara and to SYates! So nice to meet a forum member live:) You are the second one I have met, Sybille, the first one was Ivar:)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Wil they serve communion to other non-Anglican Protestants? I am Presbyterian. I get irked at not being able to take communion in Catholic services.

I don’t know about that. Perhaps you could ask SYates here in the forum.

I recently attended the 10.00 English mass in the cathedral and took HC. Never crossed my mind that I might not be allowed as I am CofE. The fundamental of HC is "do this in rememberance of me". One thing that did stick is that I got the impression that they did not want me dipping wafer in wine (as we can do in my home church), expected to eat first. Positive memory was all singing Amazing Grace together.

That certainly seems to be the case from what @SYates describes in this thread: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/anglican-chaplaincy-in-santiago.55255/ - it is stated (and later in the thread reiterated) that services are open to ALL.

But I am sure @SYates will confirm regarding your specific question about communion - you could PM her through the Forum.

Yes, I believe so, ask SYates directly.

Thanks for the replies. I will definitely seek this service out when I am in Santiago in March, the good Lord willing.
