No accommodation in Ponte de Lima September 10th!

Hi! I am planning on staying in Ponte de Lima on the 10th of September. I managed to book one room a couple of months ago for my parents but am still on the hunt for one more for myself.

I am aware that the the Feiras Novas festival is on that weekend hence the lack of accommodation available at on booking.com or Airbnb for the Saturday night. Does anyone know of any home stay or accommodation that does not advise online that I could contact? If I don’t find anything I will keep my fingers crossed to get a bed at the municipal albergue de peregrinos for the night!

I can imagine there will be pilgrims unawares of the lack of accommodation in the town for that night and might get suck without a bed!

Thanks!

astridrosekivi,
Ponte de Lima has a large open space often used for a market along the river. If no bed is available you might "camp" rough there. During the festival multitudes will be celebrating all night.

Gronze listings have a Booking.com icon for those that can be booked that way - which means the ones without that icon can't be. For Ponte de Lima, apart from the municipal albergue, the only listing without a Booking.com icon is Vila de Ponte Guest House, so maybe you could try them.

Details are:

Address:
Rua Cardeal Saraiva, 26

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

Hi Thankyou for your recommendation. I actually contacted them last month and they unfortunately do not have any availability. I can also camp out in my parents room if need be.

The municipal albergue is good and large,
we were there day before a festival in early May. Arrive by 2 pm when doors open and queue. Café opposite good for a beer or two.
