I am wondering how many pilgrams might Inencounter.while.waalking the Portuguese camino from.porto to Tui in last.part.of May. I will be taking.the coastal.route

I am doing a long hike there this summer if dont breakdown. (got tendonitis last year just 5 days short). but i am 65.

this year I want to walk the Portuguese, then bus or train to Irun and walk the Norte to the Primitivo. after than on to Muxia and then Finisteri.

I plan this year to be solo and take 85 days

Is that a plan with a particular reason?
Why don't you start with the Norte, get to Santiago and Finisterre. After that you can do a short Camino Ingles (from Ferrol) oder a longer way to Fatima (from Santiago). So you can avoid a long distance bus or train ride.
Flights to Biarritz/Pau/San Sebastian/Bilbao are conveniant starting points. Back from Porto or Lisbon.
If you are looking for more catholic holy places, just take Lourdes as starting point.

Thats a good plan. I had thought about that very thing. However, i started May last year in SJPD and froze my back side off going over the mountain.
This year, start South and work my way North. I havepleanty of time. The train ride will be a good restup.

i am starting in Lisbon on 15th so i will be a couple weeks behind you but that doesn't really count. I will be carrying a Ospry exos 48 and tan papyrus hat.

I'm carrying a backpack to keep my back warm .
Sometimes bad luck and bad choice of clothing come together!
The forecast for the next 2 weeks (all still April) shows 7 to 21 °C highest day temperature in Roncesvalles. So one day is fine, others rather cool, but not icy anymore. By the end of May it can be 10 to 30°C. Up on the top count a few degrees less. Even in August it can be cold (<10°C) and rainy up there while dry heat (35-40°C) dominates the area around Pamplona.

Anyway the weather in Irún, Bilbao, Santander etc. can't be compared with that. Heat (30°C) is rare and should not last for weeks, while rain is very common. In July and August the Camino del Norte is known for many turigrinos. May / June and September it is less turistic.

Walked from O Porto to Santiago.
Arriving Santiago tomorrow (26-04-19)

Walked same route before. Same month.

This year has been very rainy, wet and cold.

Noticed a up tick in the amount of walkers! Seems to be lots walking now.

Stayed in private places. Reservations made for each day.

Don’t know if the albergues were full or not. Seeing how many are walking I would suspect they were full each night.
