Hi all,

In April I'll be setting out on my second camino but this time will have my six yr old son who is sensitive to gluten as well as my father who is close to diabetic so we are looking at what diet options may be available.

Having done the Camino Frances already I know it is a carb heavy potato and bread walk (which I loved) but will be trying to look for some healthier options for them this time around. I know the supermarkets in bigger towns may help especially if we prepare some of our own meals but also wondering if anyone had walked the CF with gluten or other diet needs that they might have some advice or even a tip or two to share.

Thanks

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thanks! Very helpful

Hi yes, I walked one and a half caminos - I have very strict dietary requirements due to a medical condition - so, no grains/gluten, no beans or lentils, no starchy vegetables (like potatoes) no sugar, no milk - I got by just fine. Read through the threads previously mentioned (lots of great information there) and if you still have any questions please feel free to send me a PM

Buen camino!
