I have some to reconsider my remarks concerning O Grove and the back to back villas and tourist "attractions" in O Grove. I must include O Porrino in this as well. My comments were too harsh and misdirected. My memory too pink. Spain was a different place before a more varied economic opportunity presented itself. Many books relate a peasant lifestyle very picturesque very poor often dangerous. Before the"boom" here ended many people were able to escape the stereotype and achieve material success. The clam diggers in O Grove put things in perspective. The provider must wade into the. Low tide hour after hour to take up enough clams to feed the family. Hundreds of people abandoned the family holdings and a life of abject poverty in order to work in the factories etc of Porrinio. We have no right to express disappointment or criticism.
