O Porrino Accommodation Question

Time of past OR future Camino

I’m more comfortable planning our stays; especially for my husband who is very tall and a bit older. In Porrino I had reviewed accommodations and then booked an apartment. Now, I find the luggage transport does not deliver (or cannot as the owners aren’t there to accept). So, I communicated by email to ask if there was a local business (bar?) who did this. I received a rather curt/rude reply that didn’t answer my question. All that to ask; is there recommendations for a Casa/Pension, etc.? We need it for middle May. The places I find on Booking.com at this point are apartments or Hotel Parque which does not have good reviews.

Thank you in advance.

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
Scout,
Years ago in O Porrino I stayed and ate at Hostal Maracaibo which was simple and fine. It still gets good reviews.
Buen camino to you both.

Scout,
Have stayed here twice, once in 2017 and then again in 2019. Highly recommend. They will accept your transported luggage. Step out the front door and you're on the Camino. Email them directly.

Buen Camino!

Hotel Hostel Expo is outside of Porrino, but the owner asks you call and they will pick you up from town and then bring you back in the morning (no extra charge). CaminoWays uses them AND our luggage transport company Caminofacil has a working relationship with them. They have a swimming pool!! We are booked there in a few weeks, but I have heard great reviews from fellow fb members. https://www.hotelesfinder.com/hostal-expo/

Hola Scout, thank you for your post, we too are booked at an apartment in Porrino. I have emailed the property, but in the event that they don't accept luggage transfers, can you tell me where you booked that accepts luggage?

Hello,

As of now, we have kept our reservation at the apartment. Tuitrans says they will deliver to a bar in the area that will accept and then we pick up. Caminofacil says I have to arrange to have someone meet them. Apt owner will not. So I have arranged luggage with Tuitrans. Buen Camino!

I’m there about the same time and we had to book an apartment as couldn’t find an alternative except Albergues. We wanted a private room too. Seems busy around there.
