- Time of past OR future Camino
- 2019
Last year I did the Camino Primitivo and I liked so much the way throughout the Allande Council that as a result I spent last week there.
Allande has high mountains and deep valleys to walk. a lot of untouched and semiabandoned small villages, Fonsagrada not too far to eat pulpo ....and pilgrims in Berducedo and Pola Allande to talk about the Camino and have a wine. Enough for me to be happy.
My first route (and the best) was: Hospitales from Borres to Puerto del Palo and then down to Pola de Allande doing the other variant in reverse, 25 Kms . There I took a taxi to Borres to recover my car (14e).
I had an special interest in doing Hospitales to see how the Roman gold mine looks like from the Camino. I was surprised to check that it's imposible not to see it in a clear day, So there should be a panel with written information to make the mine known among pilgrims.
Here I include two photos of the mine: one from the Camino (top) and other from below, from a path that goes from Alto de la Marta direct to Montefurado, avoiding Puerto del Palo, and so it is a subvariant of Hospitales.
Also I've included a pic that shows how Valledor (Allande) looks like,
