I did take the survey and it would be interesting to see the raw data results...but we have never had any results posted on past surveys.

I must say that this one does sound more like a market research for albergues than a Master's thesis. Interesting and worth participating.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Done. You didn't give a geographical area for where we live (Costa Rica, Central America), so I put South America, which is not quite the same! Anne

Hi Anne,
I divided America into North America and South America (I know that there are different opinions how to divide it). Therefore, Costa Rica belongs to North America. You should have selected "Other countries in North America", but it is not a big mistake. I thank you (and all the others) for participating)!!!

I love the town plan with the peregrino walking in. The first stop was always the bar of course!

Completed.
Filling in the survey reminded me that it's almost 3 years since my boots last kicked up the dust of the Camino.
If I ever want to do it again, I'd better start making plans while I'm still able.

Actually, if you check one of the larger travel forums (http://www.travellerspoint.com), you'll notice that they keep "Central/South America & The Caribbean" separate from North America. Mexico is usually considered to be part of North America.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Geographically North America is Mexico, USA and Canada. South America is Colombia and everything South. Central America are the nine countries in between.

I know that we are getting off topic, but I beg to correct above statement: from Mexico to Colombia there are 7 countries: Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama.

Done!

As to locations/country of origin...in my life time many countries have been absorbed into others, some wiped off the face of the earth...some newly independent, while others just continue to move along. Listing continents may have been easier...with the assorted island added here and there.

On the one hand, I want to thank you for your help! On the other hand, I want to motivate all of you who have not participate yet. Further, I would be very happy if everybody passes the link to her/his friends. The online survey is active till the end of October 2011. So, there is enough time and a good change to say "Hello" to your pilgrim friends all over the world :D

what happened to the results?

Dear pilgrims,

after one and a half years of processing time I was able to successfully defend my final thesis.

Thank you very much for your support in completing the online questionnaire and for your helpful feedback.

The results of the global online survey combined with the experinces of my own pilgrimage have been published as a book.

My thoughts exactly. I would have thought Henry , that as a gesture to the forumers you would have shared the results here online.
And boy that is a steep price....And for 44.90 € I may hope the delivery is for free... :x My ticket from Zaragoza back to Belgium was cheaper.
