It's usually around April 1st, but subject to weather and road conditions. Weather in the Pyrenees can be capricious at any time of year. I booked Orisson for April 19th and it was warm and fine; I also was ruck sacking in the Pyrenees on July 4, 1997, and it was snowing!

Just got my reservation at Orisson as well for 21 April and they did not have many reservations left. I was glad I got it and it nudged me to get a few more reservations for the beginning of the Camino and the end as well. Very excited. It's my first Camino.
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
