Hi, sorry to start another Orisson thread, so facts only please, no speculation ;). Does anyone have any first hand info about Orisson’s cancellation/refund policy for April? Do you have a fully paid reservation and been able to get a refund, or otherwise postponed it to a future date?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hi
I had a paid reservation for Orisson on the 20th April 2020. It has been cancelled and refunded automatically.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I had a paid reservation which I cancelled. I asked for a refund and they said Pay pay was swamped. So I'm sure I'll get it--- someday.

I have one for late May and have communicated to them that in all probability my Camino will be delayed. I offered to leave the deposit with them knowing lean times are upon them and with no need to refund. I plan to re-book at a later time.. They responded and said to give it more time before actually cancelling. (and then had a few choice words for the Virus!).

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
When I had to cancel last year they offered no refund. When booked my stay it had stated no refunds. I emailed beforehand to cancel and explained that I understood their policy but wanted to let them know I wasn't coming. Either they could give (or even just rebook) my bed away, or just to not waste food. I will cancel and not ask for a refund when the time comes this summer. I can make do without that I am thinking July my not be a good time to go, but I am not cancelling yet. I can manage without the refund, even with the exchange.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Thank you everyone so much for your replies. I am quite impressed that Orisson is doing its best to refund people who are booked for April. They are a well organized private business that has a very profitable niche in the camino market (location location location), so although I am more than willing to donate my prepaid reservations to places like Casa Magica, I would like to get a refund, or a change of date, to places like Orisson.

About 10days ago I canceled train reservatios for train booked to get from Lisbon north where I wished to start my camino journey. Rec'd note from CP trains that I would be given a refund and it came through on PayPal within an hour of receipt of the notice. from CP trains-- I had contacted them the day before I rec'd word that I would be cancelling.

I might have to write them again and ask . It’s been 18 days since I requested a refund and was told they were having problems with paypal.
