How common are shops with outdoor gear on the Vdlp, in particular between Salamanca and Santiago via ourense?
Probably starting in two weeks and if I bring what I used before I may be a bit light on for cold and wet weather gear. On the Frances I was able to easily adjust a few things on the way as needed.
Cheers Paul

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
In larger cities the Corte Inglês department stores have extensive outdoor and sports sections often occupying a complete floor.

Great question NomadBoomer - I start on 28 April from Salamanca and was wondering the same thing
I have also heard there are many roadworks along the way - do you have any knowledge of roadworks/path disruptions between Salamanca & Santiago via Camino Sabres - Buen Camino

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Unfortunately I have no knowledge of the diversions. I was hoping that they were mostly over. Looks like I will be a couple of weeks ahead of you. I will post a couple of times when under way.

When I walked the Sanabres last September there were many diversions because of the new railway. However, it wasn't difficult to follow the route - just stay alert and look for the signs/arrows. You'll be fine!
