Ender tells me he spoke with Marisa a few minutes ago and she confirms that the albergue will open. The albergue has been closed because of medical issues. She will need some help, because she is still recovering, so if you go there, try to dish out some of the TLC that she has lavished on pilgrims for so many years. The mesón is there for meals (and has rooms upstairs, too), so Pajares will now have a couple of good options.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Just a heads up clarification for Salvador pilgrims. I’ve gotten a couple of PMs asking about opening dates for other municipal albergues on the Salvador. Someone is apparently posting somewhere that all will be open on June 1. That is not the case.

Cabanillas, Poladura, and now Pajares, are open.

La Robla, Buiza, and Pola de Lena remain closed.
