Pamplona during San Fermin

Time of past OR future Camino
Twice walked from St Jean to Estella and once from Sarria to Santiago. Maybe someday I'll find the time to do the entire walk.
I've found the time. Just completed SJPP to Santiago. 25 Aug to 1st Oct, 2016.
And now the Portuguese from Lisbon.
Is the albergue in Trinidad de Arre open during the festival?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I say yes, but if you look up eroski or wise pilgrim or Gronze, you will get an email address or other way of contacting them. A great place, but as you might imagine at that time it will be a goal for many pilgrims. Why should you not be one of the lucky ones? Buen camino. You could also try Zabaldika, 3km further back.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi @Stephen

Afraid I'm not sure but here's their email address hmtriniarre@maristasiberica.es

While it won't be as crazy as Pamplona itself I also wouldn't guarantee peace and quiet there. Walking through during San Femin there were a lot of people heading into Pamplona and what goes in must come out, presumably late at night and rather the worse for wear.

Buen camino,

Rob.

Since Pamplona itself will be madness consider staying in Tiebas which is east of Pamplona on the Argones route. See more re the municipal albergue in Tiebas which exceptionally takes reservations in this Euroski post.

Good luck and Buen camino!

In early May of this year, Tiebas was closed for an indeterminate amount of time. Definitely check before you plan on it. Monreal (also on the Aragonés) is somewhat in the same area.

Is the albergue in Trinidad de Arre open during the festival?
It was in 2016. That's where we stayed during Los San Fermines, then walked through Pamplona early the next morning. But be aware that if you try and walk through Pamplona in the morning you will need to make a detour from the regular Camino route in Pamplona. Some of the streets of the Camino are also used for the encierro.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
